Technologies for forming the image of a political actor in social networks

Abstract. The issue raised in the scientific article «Technologies for Forming the Image of a Political Actor in Social Networks» is relevant and topical, is a brief but sufficient question for understanding and debate, and corresponds to the direction of research in the specialty «Political institutions, processes and technologies». In this study, we will pay attention to the possibilities and advantages of social media (networks) as a political resource, in particular, as a political communication tool. The author summarizes the current state of the chosen object of study, clarifies the categories of the conceptual apparatus, describes both new and already established views on the subject under study. Attention is focused on the current state of the political development of society, the positions and opinions of political scientists are studied, taking into account the socio-cultural and political life of our society in the context of the problem raised. Social networks are a consequence of the so-called. Web 2.0, one of the stages in the development of the Internet, adopted in the framework of internet studies. The researcher’s personal position regarding the phenomenon under study is expressed, scientific tasks are formulated for further disclosure of the raised research topic. The Internet user has ceased to be only an addressee (recipient) of information, the Internet has become a product of his activity — thus, communication on the Web has acquired a two-way character. Unlike forums, they [social networks] are a wide range of tools for interaction both between politicians/parties or structures with citizens, and between certain groups of users. Many authors — domestic and foreign — have studied the role of IT technologies, the Internet and social networks, in particular in the electoral process.
