In China, there are several important laws that have not only attracted international attention and attention, but also provide an indication of the dominant traditional values in the country. One of the most notable is the National Security Law, which was passed in 2020 and has been criticized for its broad and vague definitions of «separatism, subversion, terrorism, and collusion with foreign forces». As China rapidly modernizes, the impact of Chinese traditional values on modern society remains significant. The cultural transformation of the country has led to a mixture of traditional and modern values that shape the thinking and behavior of the Chinese people. Some of the key effects of Chinese traditional values on contemporary China include: a continued focus on family values; the growing importance of maintaining harmony in social interactions; Preservation of loyalty and patriotism among the population; Increasing the role of paternal piety in family life; the continuing influence of Confucianism and other indigenous philosophies on Chinese society. While modern China embraces new ideas and values, the country continues to uphold its rich cultural heritage and remains firmly committed to its traditional values.
