Concrete sociological research as an effective theoretical and empirical mechanism for political science analysis

Abstract. The scientific problem of this study is the independent and parallel existence of political science and sociology generated by previous stages of development, despite the obvious readiness of their modern versions for a fruitful creative synthesis.
The relevance of the research topic lies in the possibility of creative synthesis and mutual enrichment of political and sociological science, as well as in the use of this synthesis in the author’s dissertation work.
The research hypothesis is a preliminary scientifically substantiated assumption about the need for this synthesis in the context of conducting private and specific political science research. Accordingly, the purpose of the article is to search, define and prove the prospects of joint political science and sociological research, and more precisely, to consider concrete sociological research in the role of an effective theoretical and empirical mechanism for political science analysis.
Based on the materials of the presented article, the following conclusions can be drawn:
1. The current stage of the historical evolution of political science and sociology in itself demonstrates the mutual readiness and tendency of these sciences to their fruitful synthesis. And this is despite the previously declared and actually taking place in the last century tendencies towards demarcation and autonomous parallel existence of these scientific disciplines.
2. A brief description of the mechanism for organizing and conducting a typical concrete sociological study shows its simplicity and accessibility when included in political science development as a theoretical-empirical section with access to mathematical statistics and probability theory.
3. A whole series of Soviet-Russian works and materials on the philosophy of politics and political science (and in the widest range of topics), due to their rather narrow ideological and social orientation, require the most careful verification of the truth or degree of probability of the conclusions and practical results obtained in them. Such a check and subsequent correction, which is inevitable in fact, is quite possible and even necessary based on the use of the methodology and technology of concrete sociological research.
4. The author’s personal use of a series of targeted specific sociological studies in his own dissertation work, as well as familiarity with the experience of other authors and the results of their analysis of political and legal documents using methods of applied sociology to verify the real effectiveness of the action and influence of the latter — prove the validity of the previous ones the author’s conclusions and, accordingly, the prospects for using applied sociological methodology and technology in political science analysis.
Keywords: political science analysis; concrete sociological research; effective theoretical-empirical mechanism; Soviet-Russian works and materials of past years; checking for the truth of provisions and calculating the degree of probability of conclusions; justified content correction; the fruitfulness of the synthesis of political science and applied sociology
