The relevance of the study is due to the expansion of the digital space in the lives of older Russians and the need to adapt to new formats of communication and interaction. Social networks are becoming an integral part of everyday life, requiring users, including the elderly, to be increasingly involved. At the same time, most existing studies are limited to the descriptive level and do not allow us to identify general patterns and consequences of this transformation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The purpose of the study was to determine the patterns of influence of network activity on the lifestyle of the elderly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The study found that the use of social networks has a positive effect on the emotional state of the elderly, increasing their confidence and sense of need. However, at the same time, both respondents and experts point out a number of obstacles and risks: the complexity of interfaces, vulnerability to fake information and fraud, susceptibility to negative comments. Both approaches also reveal differences in platform preferences related to both personal interests and the environment (the presence of children and grandchildren in a particular network).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Thus, expert assessments and survey data mutually confirm each other, forming a holistic view of the role of social networks in the lives of elderly users.
