The role of modern digital platforms and social networks in stimulating various non-conventional forms of political participation is stated. The conclusion is made about the strategic importance of online media, which have significantly expanded the channels of dissemination of political information, formed a model of decentralized political communication, which has a significant impact on the development of political values and behavioral norms by young people. Based on the interpretation of secondary sociological data, the article draws a conclusion about the role of informal communications in young people\u2019s mastery of the practices of political participation. The study revealed the importance of informal communication platforms (youth club\/center, media, non-profit organizations, social movement, etc.).
