Professional requirements for fire training instructors

Abstract. The article examines the issue of professional competence of fire training teachers in the context of modern society, its expectations and requirements for employees of internal affairs bodies. Despite the fact that a lot of attention is paid to the organization of shooting training for future and current police officers, statistics on the use of weapons, deaths and injuries of employees indicate that the field for changing the situation with police fire training for the better is very extensive. According to the author, it is worth starting with the training of teachers who teach practical shooting. To do this, it is necessary to understand what requirements fire training instructors and teachers must meet. We are talking about psychological, pedagogical and methodological competencies, legal culture and culture of handling weapons, basic moral qualities. A fire training instructorshould be constantly trained, and not only in the field of small arms, but also in the field of the specifics of the service and operational situation in the region where staff training is carried out. The constantly changing world also changes the subjects of the educational process, so a teacher should always have information about who he is teaching and have an idea about different educational approaches based on the categories of students and the demands of society. The author notes that it is necessary to carry out a targeted personnel policy aimed at selecting the most suitable candidates for the positions of fire training instructors with the necessary professional qualities and pedagogical competencies.
